When can I access my storage unit?
For security purposes, you can access your storage unit between 7 AM and 9 PM.
The office is open from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and until 2:00 pm on Saturday.
If you have a business purpose or a one-time special need to access your unit at times after the gates are normally closed, you can contact our on-site manager and we will make special arrangements to accommodate your specific needs. We close the facility during the nighttime hours for security purposes. Please know that if an account becomes past due the storage unit can be “over-locked” (which is when the facility management places a second lock on your unit until your account is paid current).
Our on-site manager lives in a home on-site at 3D Storage. The owner is also frequently and residents here. So even when the office is closed there is generally somebody out and about on the property. We keep a very close eye on everything that goes on at 3D Storage.
Do I need to provide a lock for my storage unit?
You may provide your own lock or purchase one of our high-quality locks available in our office during business hours. Our office does not keep a duplicate of your key and no one can access your unit except for you.
What is the rental term for storage rental leases?
3D Storage rents storage units on a month-to-month basis. There is no long-term commitment or minimum monthly requirement. Your first month’s rent is prorated based on the day that you sign the lease and move into your rental unit. There is no prorating of your last month so if you plan on moving out you must do so by the 1st of the next month, otherwise, you will incur another month’s rent. Please notify us of your departure date by the first of the month in which you plan to move out.
When is my rent due?
Rent is always due on the first day of each month. If your rent is not received by the 10th of each month a $10 late fee will be added to your account.
What payment methods does 3D Storage except?
At 3D Storage you can make your rental payments with any of the following methods:
- Checks (however returned-checks are subject to a returned check fee)
- Visa – debit or credit
- MasterCard – debit or credit
- American Express
You may call our office and make payments over the telephone or you can log into our website and make payments 24 hours a day.
Another great way to pay your monthly self-storage bill is to set-up auto-pay with your debit or credit card. By setting up the auto-pay feature you will never incur a late fee or risk having the contents of your unit sold at auction. Please contact our on-site manager if you wish to set up the auto-pay feature using your debit or credit card. You can also use your bank’s bill pay feature and have it automatically paid each month by having your bank automatically send a check prior to the first of each month.
What happens if my payment is late?
Rent is always due on the first of the month. If it is not received by the 10th then on the 11th day a $10 late fee is added to the account and access to your storage unit is denied. If the 10th of the month falls on a Sunday then the due date is extended until Monday. Please remember that you can always call our office and pay over the phone with a credit or debit card. Just remember that you must call during our normal business hours which are from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and until 2:00 pm on Saturday. However, you can visit our website and pay online after hours but before midnight.
What items are prohibited in a storage unit?
For the safety of our other tenants and the facility improvements, some items are not permitted in a storage unit. The following items are strictly forbidden and may not be placed in your storage unit:
- flammable substances
- hazardous or toxic materials

Why does 3D Storage require contents insurance?
Just like your personal property in a rented apartment or condominium your personal property belongings kept in storage are not covered by insurance through 3D Storage. We require that you insure your belongings for your own protection. If your renter’s, home owner’s or other insurance policy does not cover your personal property kept in a storage facility, please ask us about an easy solution that you can pay with your monthly storage rent. If you do have existing coverage for your personal property, please bring a copy of your policy declaration page which shows that your personal property is covered while kept in a storage unit.
